No official Posta Kenya page describing a poste restante service was found: duration, cost and address format are not documented. The official site promotes the PO box and the Private Bag.

Unverified leads

• The official site (Mail Services page) describes private letter boxes and the Private Bag (mainly for organisations receiving large volumes of mail). Individual box: Ksh 2,200, plus Ksh 1,000 key deposit and Ksh 50 e-Citizen fee.
• Posta Kenya's service charter asks for a copy of the identity card to rent an individual box. Nothing is said about poste restante.
• Kenya's UPU addressing sheet (09/2004) only shows a "P O Box" example. Unverified lead: ask a Posta office directly whether mail can be held at the counter.
• International parcels are not described either: do not rely on this service without written confirmation.
