No official TPC page describing poste restante, its duration or its cost was found.

  • The format comes from Tanzania's UPU addressing sheet (06/2013), which gives a "Poste restante" example: name, Poste Restante, postcode + post office, region, TANZANIA. Official source, but old.
  • The TPC site (posta.co.tz) does not mention this service in the pages consulted (FAQ, tariffs, services). Is the service still offered? To be confirmed with the chosen office.
  • The 5-digit postcode depends on the office: UPU example, 47200 KIGOMA. Ask the chosen office for it.
  • The PO box (P.O. Box) remains the usual option: TPC also offers an online PO box application.

This entry is to be confirmed: at least one key piece of information could not be verified on an official page. Call the country's post office before sending anything important.
