No official Zampost page describing poste restante, its duration or its cost was found.
- The format comes from Zambia's UPU addressing sheet (01/2013), which gives a "Poste restante" example: name, Post Restante, post office + postcode, ZAMBIA (example: LIVINGSTONE 23345). Official source, but old. The same sheet states that postcodes had not yet been assigned: ask the chosen office for the code.
- Zampost's official site (pages consulted: home, PO boxes) does not mention poste restante. Is the service still offered, for how long, with which ID? To be confirmed with the chosen office.
- The PO box remains the usual option: official "PO Box Services" page (140+ offices), annual rental payable in advance: 600 per year (individual), 1,500 (SME), 2,500 (non-profit), 7,000 (government and large businesses). ID asked to open a box: NRC, passport or driving licence. This is not poste restante.
- The UPU sheet also lists the Private Bag (example "Private Bag E 345") and private postal agencies, but these are other delivery modes.
